Spirit of Flame - Combined Camp 2009

As usual, every year our school's Firefighters' Cadet (Kadet Bomba) will organize a camp. Last year our camp was held at Began Jermal's Fire Station. However, this year will be a bit different compared with last year's. There were four our different schools involved in this combined camp, which held at Paya Terubong's Fire Station, with the theme "Spirit of Flame". The four schools were PCGHS, CLHS, HEHS and CHCHS.
Guess what? I noticed that PCGHS was the only all girls school in Penang that had Firefighter's Cadet. =='

It's easier for us to go to Paya Terubong's fire station together by bus. All of us gathered near our school's basketball court.
with Xu-Peng (Yes, I cut my hair a few weeks ago)
As the bus was overloaded, Xu-Peng, Selena and me decided to sit Nee's car. Her car was loaded with food. *inhaled* I'm hungry... and she's playing MJ's song during the whole journey. Zzz
At last, we reached Balai Bomba Paya Terubong.
It's kinda sad my camera was not beside me all the time.
We attended a talk first. At our first glance, we thought this session was boring. However, the pengawai seems to be humourous, he joked most of the time.
After that, it was our nightmare: Marching session.

Well, I don't mind the training, since our group's pengawai was kinda nice.
But what I mean was I DON'T WANNA STAND UNDER THE SUNLIGHT.
It's hot, ya know? Seems like our group was the only one that always stood under the sun. Gosh, we forgot to put our sunblocks on.
During break time, we rushed to Nee's car to apply some sunblock. Argh! UV rays...
Anyway, what really shocked me was that other schools were loud in responding the pengawai during marching. I could see alot of us clearing our throats when heard them respond one by one. If we didn't respond as loud as them, this made us sound weak, right?

with Lilian (LCL behind. LOL)
It's break time, we ate nasi goreng with fried chicken. High cholesterol. LOL.
The food was spicy, some of us can't manage to eat spicy food. As for me, the quantity of the rice was way too much, I can't finish it.

Some of 100plus sampah cans hanging at a fire hydrant.

After break, they started to teach us how to rescue a person who's injured or lost conscious when there's a fire. There were several tactics, include fireman carry, two-hand carry and etc.
Fireman carry demo:

How to lift up a person who's pass out
Now, it's time for us to try out:
Karr and Nee (victim)
Joyce and Sze Min (victim)
Lilian, Karr and Nee (victim)
Sze Min, Joyce and Xu-Peng (victim)
me, Puey Mei and Karr (victim)
It's fun =D
Next, we had another try out again with this...
Damn scary. I don't want to try at first, but later noticed that it's fun and exciting. So I just took it a try =D
Another demo
By the way, this is Karr x)
Later, they opened up the fire engine. I saw those stuffs before as last year I already attended a camp at Began Jermal Fire Station.
So, I went to the kitchen to look for some water, and I saw bunch of PCGHS there =D
Of course, I won't miss the chance to took some photos with the fire engines.
With others on top of the fire engine. Awesome view from up there XD
with Lilian and Puey Meiwith Nee
I later saw something interesting, so I just took a look. This guy introducing some equip.

High curiosity Karr decided to try it out again =='
At another end, there's another try out with wearing this fireman suit.
We all asked Ying-Chen to wear this. LOL. So cute x]
Look the way she's wore. Everyone was looking and smile =)
Puey Mei v^_^v LOL.
me, Puey Mei and Lilian
Karr, Xu-Peng, Lilian and me
Can't help it. She's vain =='
Did I mention that we had a quiz competition?
Well, we missed the first question. We didn't saw it, it's under the name list. Zzz.
After the demo and try out, it's the time for us to check out who's the champion in the quiz competition. Out of 10+ groups, our group get nothing. LOL! Anyway, congrats to the top 3 groups =D

Now, we're going back. All of us were tired.

Group photo. Around 130 person present? A souvenir.

Although there's alot of sweats and tireness. The try outs were just cool and fun
=)
